Montana Medical Savings
A product designed to help you finance eligible medical, dental, vision and long-term care expenses can reduce your taxable income for the State of Montana. Please consult your tax advisor for more information. Eligible medical expenses range from the deductible on your health care insurance policy to the premiums on long-term care insurance.
You will be responsible for maintaining records to document eligibility of payments. There is a $5.00 initial deposit required to open the account. There is no limitation on the amount deposited to the account. Interest earned on those funds remains tax-free while in the account. Quarterly statements. Interest rate is lower than regular saving rate.
